What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stressed; if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery!
How Reiki Has Supported Myself and Others
Since I began practicing Reiki, I've seen incredible changes not only in myself, but also in those I've had the privilege to work with! Reiki has helped me manage stress and anxiety, heal from past traumas, and maintain a sense of calm and well-being in my daily life. Witnessing the positive impact of Reiki on others has been truly rewarding. Clients have reported feeling more relaxed, experiencing relief from pain, and achieving a greater sense of clarity and purpose. Each session is a unique experience, tailored to the individual's needs, and it's been an honor to facilitate such profound healing journeys.
In March of 2023, I achieved certification in Reiki Levels 1 and 2, a journey that has profoundly enriched my life and enhanced my ability to support my clients. This certification means that I am trained in the foundational techniques of Reiki, allowing me to channel healing energy effectively. For my clients, this translates into deeply restorative sessions that promote relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. My training has equipped me with the skills to offer both hands-on and hands-off healing, tailored to your comfort and needs. I am dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing space where you can experience the transformative power of Reiki.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Scheduling Your Session
Booking your Reiki session is simple. You can choose to have the session either at my studio or at your own space—whichever makes you feel more comfortable and relaxed. Heads up, there will be an additional fee if I get to travel.
2: Preparing for the Session
If you choose to come to my studio, you’ll be welcomed into a serene and calming environment, carefully prepared to enhance your Reiki experience.
If you prefer me to come to your location, you’ll need to provide the address of the space where the session will take place within your contact form below. I’ll bring along everything necessary to create a peaceful and nurturing atmosphere, including a fur rug, incense, and other essential items. Please let me know if you need me to bring a speaker for relaxation music.
3: The Session
Each Reiki session lasts 50 minutes. We’ll begin with a brief conversation to discuss your needs and any specific areas of focus you might have. This is your time to share any intentions or questions you have about the session.
4: Physical Touch Preference
Reiki can be performed with or without physical touch, depending on your comfort level. You can choose to opt in or out of physical touch at any time. The energy will flow just as effectively either way, ensuring you receive the full benefits of the session.
5: During the Session
You will lie down comfortably on the fur rug or a provided surface, fully clothed. I will then proceed with the Reiki practice, gently placing my hands on or just above your body in a series of positions. You may feel a warm sensation, tingling, or a sense of deep relaxation as the energy flows through you.
6: After the Session
After the session, we’ll take a few minutes to discuss your experience and any insights or sensations you had. This is also a great time to ask any questions you might have about the process or the benefits of Reiki. It’s also a great time to schedule your next session!
Step 7: Post-Session Care
It’s important to drink plenty of water and give yourself time to relax and integrate the healing energy you received. You might feel more balanced, peaceful, and rejuvenated in the hours and days following your session.
